“I am still recovering from the shock of returning to London after the most breathtakingly beautiful 2 weeks in Bhutan. It really is a gem of a Kingdom and we were so well looked after by Karma and yourself.”

  2. Helga Zimpel-Erler Says:

    “Dear Chambula,
time passes so quickly- today it is already one week since we arrived safely, on time and without any difficulties back in Frankfurt. We still have the feeling of having returned from at least a Martian expedition and accordingly it is very difficult to reconnect with the daily duties of our ordinary lives, although I’m bach at work since one week. You personally and your excellent preparations for our trekking-trip contributed considerably to the great success of the journey and we again want to thank you so much for all you did for us. I just do hope, this will not be our last trek in Bhutan and we will meet again. We liked Jechy and Wangdi very much, please give them our warm greetings. They were very competent, cheerful and just good companions.
    from Helga”

  3. Hilary Clark Cole Says:

We have such fond memories of our time in Bhutan, made even more special because of the kindness and friendship of you and your family.
We do hope to come back someday, but in the meantime we will send only our very special friends who will respect and appreciate such a beautiful country.
Our best wishes to you and to your family. Hilary

  4. Tony Brewer Says:

Dear Champ - we finally arrived home last evening,

This is just a brief note to thank you for looking after us so well during our visit. We really enjoyed coming to Bhutan & that was due largely to your efforts. Thank you, and your wife, in particular, for inviting us to your home to meet your family & friends. That was a very special evening.

I’m now hard at work recommending Bhutan, & Bhutan Dorji Holidays, to all my friends.

  5. Isabelle Richardson and Mary Barley Says:

Dear Champ, Just a little note to tell you that Mary and I reached home safely. We had a wonderful time in Bhutan and thought it was one of the best trips either of us has ever done! It is such a beautiful place. Also, many thanks to you for arranging everything so perfectly for us. Rinsi took great care of us and we enjoyed his company. He is a very nice young man: informative and well-educated. Panjo, the driver, was reliable, careful and helpful.
PS: Please also thank your wife for the delicious dinner she offered us at your home in Thimphu. It was so interesting to meet your family and to talk to them all.

  6. Neville Shulman Says:

Thank you for making such excellent arrangements for us and we enjoyed our time in Bhutan enormously. Each time I come I like this wonderful country more
Tshering was extremely helpful in so many ways and she did everything possible to make our travels and trip easy and special. She has many talents that I hope can be made use of in the future.
    All best wishes

  7. Keith and Anne Green Says:

    Dear Chambula,

We are returned from our holiday having visited Calcutta, Vishnupur and the Sundarbans after leaving Bhutan.

I can now write to thank you for the way in which you arranged our visit of Bhutan and for providing such an interesting itinerary - we found that every day had something new and exciting to see or do. We were so well looked after by our guide, Rinzin and our driver, Dorji who were both so very helpful and friendly and coped with all our ‘wants’ and problems without any question.

As you know, one of our party, Cynthia Fowler, was unwell and Rinzin made sure that she had quick and good medical care.

We very much welcomed meeting you and your daughter, we enjoyed the wines that you so kindly gave to us.

We were fortunate to see three Festivals, and the last one in a village was the one we enjoyed most - it had so few tourists there!

The visit to the School for Blind children was also special - they welcomed us in such a kind way and made sure that we all joined in the dance at the end.

It was a truly memorable visit to your country for which we all thank you, and I hope that we may meet again one day.

    With all good wishes,

    Keith & Anne

  8. Matthew and Albert Heasman Says:

Matt and I arrived home safely yesterday, our heads still spinning from the wonderful visit. Thank you so much for arranging the trip and helping out whenever we needed you.

  9. Freda Ferne Says:

Many thanks for an unforgettable visit to Bhutan at this historic time. My head and my heart are full. I am on constant replay and I can’t stop grinning - I am so happy.

Tashi (guide) and Yanka (driver) looked after us really well, particularly when I was ill. As we had all been to Bhutan before we all had things and people we particularly wanted to see and Tashi was very flexible and managed to accommodate all our requests, not always easy.

  10. David Messer Says:

Just a note to say thank you for the holiday arrangements. We had a wonderful if exhausting time. The road to Phuntsoling was indeed horrific taking over 8 hours all told. Having seen the East now I think I would fly to Paro for any further visit.
Also I would like to say how pleased we were with your choice of Guide and driver. Dorji in particular was wonderful.

  11. Maratana Hope Says:

Dear Chambula, I have arrived home to such a different culture that I am finding it a little difficult to re enter. I have been speaking to friends, looking at my photos and remembering so many wonderful moments in time.Thank you so much for your help and hospitality. I am looking forward to returning to do a trek.

  12. Klemens Says:

    “Dear Chambula,

I was about to write you, but wanted to go through the 400 plus pictures again from our whole journey. They reconfirm what we have in our head and heart:

Wonderful experiences, beautiful landscapes, impressive cultural sites. Above all, we remember with greatest sympathy the way you and Karma and Govin took care of us. Many, many thanks again.”

  13. Paul Atkinson Says:

    Dear Champ

After several days back in Belgium, my heart is still back in Bhutan! Sincere thanks to you, your family and your outstanding staff for a memorable trip which I will remember for the rest of my life. The whole Dauntsey’s group learned so much about your country, its people, culture and religion, and the magnificent mountains. We also learned a lot about ourselves and how much we are capable of. For my part, I had a check up with my doctor, who found nothing to be concerned about, and I am back to full fitness again, despite eating too much over Christmas!

With very best wishes to you and your family for a prosperous and peaceful 2010.

    Kind regards

  14. Deborah Kidd Says:

    Dear Chambula,

Although I wasn’t able to join the team in Bhutan - something I will always regret - I was in constant contact with about how the filming was going.

Each day they were telling me what wonderful filming they were getting, how you organised everything to get them the very best sequences they needed, and how smoothly everything went. You and your team worked so hard for us, and this was felt by the wonderful film we are able to make.

But more than that, they said how much they personally enjoyed working with you and your team. Filming is hard work, but you made it a pleasure for them - and they have not only come back with a great film, but with some amazing memories of a very special country.

I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us. Not only would I always use you and your team for any other filming trips, and for any personal holiday I would hope to have n Bhutan, but I would always recommend you to any other filming teams.

It has been an absolute pleasure.

    With kindest regards

  15. Jane Mason Says:

I was fortunate to have Bhutan Dorji Holidays recommended to me by the UK consul in Bhutan. He was right to recommend them. From the moment I landed the driver and guide were polite, accomodating, and extremely knowledgable. They even went out in the rain looking for me one day when I had taken a walk and they thought I would lose myself!

I had to change plans at the last minute and fly home early and Mr Dorji himself sorted out the flights and arranged a complete refund of the money for the days I did not spend in Bhutan. If you are coming to Bhutan don’t look any farther. You will not be disappointed.

  16. Zipi & Barry Levinson Says:

We enjoyed the whole process from inception to fruition with the expert & friendly team from Bhutan Dorji Travels.
All of our numerous queries were obligingly & promptly answered giving us the peace of mind that we were in capable hands. Our group was just me & the wife plus their excellent guide & driver.

Chambula & his team proved the point that you do not need middle men ie. you can book direct. They are highly recommended.
